How Disco ranks venues
Venue rankings on Disco are earned, not bought and not editorial. A venue's position in any list — a city's best sports bars, a team's top spots — comes from real fan activity: check-ins, and for team pages, that team's share of the venue's fan mix.
What moves a venue up
- Weekly check-ins — city and category listings order venues by check-ins over the current week, so the rankings reflect where fans are going now.
- Fan-mix share — a team page's top venues are ranked by that team's share of each venue's crowd — the most Bills bar comes first, not the biggest bar.
- All-time check-ins — leaderboards and venue pages also show the cumulative count, the venue's long-run track record.
There's no paid placement and no rating system to game — if a venue ranks first, it's because fans keep showing up there.
